Meet The Team

Brad Davis – Brad is an accomplished eco-tour guide and our local contact in Brazil. He has written articles for international birding and nature publications and spends his time leading tours in the rainforests of Brazil, Ecuador and Bolivia. Brad lives with his wife in the town of Alta Floresta, only a short drive and boat ride from Rainforest One.

Mat D’Angelo – Mat holds an undergraduate degree in Religious Studies from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada and has found this background to be very helpful in his role in this initiative. Stewardship, sustainability and living responsibly are issues dear to Mat’s heart. Mat oversees the online end of Save the Rainforest For Our Children.org, and helps ensure that the operation is sustained through the help of stewards, both corporate and individual.

The Messengers International - This Toronto-based courier company has provided Save The Rainforest For Our Children.org with the initial means to begin its work. The Messengers International is a courier company that understands the importance of protecting the planet. They have the largest zero-emission fleet of foot and bicycle couriers in Toronto and continually strive to reduce their footprint while finding ways to improve life on earth for everyone.

Fazenda Natureza - a local Brazilian grassroots organization, has purchased an initial section of rainforest along the Juruena River in the Mato Grosso region of Brazil. Fazenda Natureza has established a land trust, and has vowed to actively protect the land under their watch.
